All-island Obesity Action Forum Workshop: The Role of Appetite in Obesity

This upcoming event, which will be hosted by the All-island Obesity Action Forum and supported by safefood, will take place in the Spencer Hotel in Dublin on the 8th of November. The theme of this workshop is ‘The Role of Appetite in Obesity’ and will bridge the biology, eating behaviour and role of the environment on food intake.
The event will welcome a range of national and international speakers who will present on current research looking at the various influences, from genetics to the environment, on appetite.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Professor Jason Halford, who is Head of the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Liverpool. His presentation will provide delegates with an insight into the triggers of eating behaviour.
This event will be of interest to those working in obesity-related areas in the voluntary community sector, academia, industry and government departments.
Registration for this free event will open in October and places will be limited so early booking is advised.
